Ron Houtman
Ron has worked at the Kent Intermediate School District and the Kent Career Technical Center for 20 years both teaching in the classroom and supporting educator professional development. He is an experienced instructional technologist with experience in instructional design, development of online, blended, and technology-enhanced courses and experiences. Ron has spent many years helping others use technology to enhance their teaching and learning, classroom engagement, and collaboration. Ron also services as an adjunct professor at Michigan State University, bringing his extensive real-world experience to academic settings. In Ron's courses, learners will gain practical and immediate implementation skills.
As a past board member of MACUL and current REMC 8 director within the REMC Association of Michigan, Ron actively contributes to helping students learn and teachers teach while using technology to enhance their effectiveness, learning outcomes, and engagement.
