What is the Growing Minds Project?

This project brings together technology and applicable, real-world uses of AI in agriculture, nutrition & food science, as well as integrating Computational Thinking strategies. Selected project participants receive an AI powered hydroponic systems that fosters scientific inquiry, engineering practices, and data literacy while furthering REMC's commitment to "empowering educators to create high quality, engaging instructional environments."  

Who is this designed for? 

Hydroponics can be integrated into any educational space.  While much of the content is geared toward Middle School classrooms, the units offer NGSS, AgriScience, Nutrition, and Wellness benefits in any K-12 classroom.

How can Growing Minds benefit students and staff? 

By integrating holistic, career focused STEM through hands on learning, educators can increase engagement around NGSS concepts, as well as access to nutritional benefits.  Educators also join in a network of other educators through in person and virtual meet-ups to support questions and learning throughout their first implementation.
