Study Jams
Overview
Scholastic has produced a FREE website full of educational videos and step-by-step slides for students to work on. Study Jams focuses on science and mathematical concepts that are prevalent in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
Learning Objectives
Students will:
- Be able to explore educational videos using Study Jams.
- Be able to expand their knowledge of specific science/mathematical concepts.

Pre-planning
To prepare for this lesson:
- Select science/mathematical concepts for the lesson.
- Visit the Study Jams website.
- Review Study Jams site to make sure your topic has a supporting video/slide.
- Select Math or Science.
- Choose a specific domain.
- Select the current lesson topic.

All videos and slides are read out loud to assist students with accommodations.
Steps
Directions for this activity:
- Select science/mathematical concepts for the lesson.
- Visit the Study Jams website.
- Review the Study Jams website to search for supporting video/slide content.
- Select Math or Science.
- Choose a specific domain.
- Select the current lesson topic.
- Copy the website link.
- Post the link to the online classroom or share whole group with students.
