REMC Association honored to receive MACUL President's Award

Each year, the MACUL President selects an individual or organization that has made a significant and positive impact on educational technology across Michigan. This year, we are thrilled to announce that the REMC Association of Michigan has been chosen as the 2025 President’s Award recipient!
We were honored as a shining example of what it means to support educators, empower students, and advance the effective use of technology in education. MACUL President, Kellie DeLosSantos from Jackson ISD stated, “REMC’s ongoing work reaches educators in every corner of the state through a multi-faceted approach that includes free, year-round professional learning opportunities, innovative educator resources, and robust support for classroom technology integration.”
A key reason for this recognition, according to DeLosSantos presentation is REMC’s deep commitment to accessibility and professional development. She complimented our free courses and webinars that provide educators access to high-quality, practical training designed to enhance instructional strategies and boost student engagement.
She also commended REMC for our ongoing partnerships with other state-wide organizations such as MACUL. DeLosSantos shared that REMC has provided more than 50 scholarships annually to ensure teachers from all backgrounds can attend, learn, and grow with their peers at the MACUL Conference. The President’s Award also acknowledges the support provided through REMC SAVE, which provides statewide purchasing power and delivers substantial discounts on essential classroom supplies, technology, and equipment.
Sue Schwartz, Executive Director accepted the award on behalf of the REMC Association. “This honor reflects our mission-driven work and its lasting impact on Michigan’s educational landscape. We will continue to focus on our commitment to support educators through collaboration, resources and training.”
