Supporting Tomorrow's Teachers: REMC offers Student Teacher Summit

The REMC Association of Michigan is excited to offer TeachMI: Student Teacher Summits to be held on September 20th, October 11th and November 15th. All three dates will offer a high-energy, one-day professional development experience created specifically for Michigan’s student teachers.

These summits are FREE and offer hands-on learning to build confidence and digital fluency while introducing the powerful tools and resources REMC has to offer.

TeachMI Summit empowers student teachers to explore innovative teaching strategies and classroom technologies that will shape the future of education. Through expert guidance and collaborative activities, participants will gain firsthand experience with:

  • Coding drones, Dash robots, and podcasting tools (aligned with REMC’s PSTL framework)
  • Esports, Ozobots, and Sphero Indis
  • Assistive technology and virtual reality
  • MiStreamnet and other REMC-supported digital resources

REMC is committed to supporting future educators. Our TeachMI Summits will focus on interactive training with REMC’s makerspace and instructional tech. We bring a supportive network of peers and facilitators to share practical knowledge for integrating technology into daily instruction. Participants will have a jumpstart into all the free resources provided by REMC for ongoing support.
