Q2 Career Match: Your Interests
Now that you have completed the survey and know a little bit more about your top interest categories, it is time to see how those interests may line up with some jobs (careers) by completing steps 1 through 4 below.
Step 1: Have you already closed the O*NET Interest Profiler results? If so, that is okay, follow the next six steps to get back in without having to take the survey over.
- Go back to the O*NET page.
- Select Enter Scores.
- In a new tab, open your Career Prep Portfolio and go to the page where you embedded your results.
- In the O*NET Profiler tab, type your results back in the correct fields.
- Select Next.
- The video below will outline the steps. You may want to play and pause it while following the steps.
Step 2: Now that you are back in O*NET with your Profiler results, let's take a look at the different jobs that fit your interest profile.

Step 3: It is time for you to choose 3 careers that you would consider in the future and do a little research on those careers. On your O*NET Profiler page:
- Check out Best Fit and Great Fit careers.
- Select 3 (or more) of the careers listed and read through the summary, job task, personality type, education level, and outlook (salary) information for each career.

Step 4: Based on the top 3 careers you have spent time researching, which would be your favorite right now? Think about why you might pick that as your favorite.
Complete the steps outlined below (and in the video) to add your job choicesto your Career Prep portfolio.
- When on the career webpage of your choice, copy the webpage url.
- Go to your Google Site Career Prep Portfolio Quest 2 page.
- Scroll down to the Career buttons in red.
- Select the edit pencil and then add the Career Name and link in the popup window.
- Select the blue Update button.
- Add the other two careers that you picked using the same steps in 1-5 above.
