Online Job Searches

Great! You have your list of related job titles. You can now search to see what job postings exist for those job titles. Online job searches are the main way employees find jobs in the U.S.

Knowing how to read through job postings is essential when searching for jobs. Job postings will help someone determine if a job might be a good fit for them by providing the following information:

  • Job Summary (Overview)
  • Key Responsibilities (Duties)
  • Qualifications (Requirements)
  • Skills
  • Education Level
  • Work Hours (Schedule)
  • Location
  • Salary (Compensation)

Step 1. Let's find out what to look for in a Job Posting.
