Key Vocabulary

Digital Breakout: A Digital Breakout is a web-based, game-like activity where students use clues to unlock a series of puzzles or activities to solve a challenge (or to escape a digital room).

Messaging app: A messaging app is a social media application that allows users to share messages, photos, pictures, emojis, and videos online.

Oversharing: Oversharing occurs when excessive information about a person's private life is shared online.

Snap map: Snap map is used by people on Snapchat to share or reshare their GPS location with others.

Screengrab: A screengrab is taking a picture of your screen, also called a screenshot. (see Basics)

Social media apps: Social media applications enable people to create and share content online. Some current examples are Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, and TikTok.

Viral: Viral refers to something that spreads rapidly via the Internet, email, or other media.
