Create an Advertisement
Now it’s your turn to step into the spotlight! You’ll create your own eye-catching, scroll-stopping ad to wow your classmates and convince them your product is the must-have of the year. Do you have what it takes to be the top seller in class?
Step 1. Let’s see how sharp your memory is! Most popular brands have catchy slogans—short, clever phrases that stick in your head and make you think of their product right away. Can you recognize them all? Open up the Slogan Worksheet and test yourself: how many brands and their slogans can you name in just 3 minutes? Ready… set… go!
Step 2. Next, open this Advertisement Poster Document to create a poster. You will add an image of the product you want to persuade your classmates to purchase. You will also create a slogan to help convince them- Slogan Creator- Shopify for assistance in developing a good slogan.
Step 3. Last, you will choose an advertising technique: Having Fun, Emotional Appeal, Promotion, Endorsement, Complement, Bribe, or Facts and Statistics.
After the posters have been created, the teacher will share them in class. The following will be discussed about each poster if time allows.
- Is there anything misleading about the ad?
- What does the fine print say, and why is it important?
- What do others like about the ad?
