Email Scenarios
Check with your teacher about which of the following two options you will be using. There will be other situations discussed in Thing 6 CyberSafety quests. You might be familiar with or have heard of situations like these happening to someone you know, either directly or indirectly.
Option 1:
- Work with a partner to play the different videos on this page. Take notes and learn about the four scenarios below: File attachments, Email FWD, Flames, Send Before Thinking.
- Then, create a short poster, presentation, or video about your learning. Then proceed to the Completing Page.
Option 2:
Proceed to the next page and explore and try the Breakout Activity. Working with a partner is highly recommended.
1. FILE ATTACHMENTS
In this episode, a file with THE .exe file extension was attached to an email. In the second part of it, a photo was attached as a joke. Has this ever happened to you or a friend?
3. Flames
Two friends talk about flames, and the damage they do, and someone learns it is not easy to get away with sending mean or illegal things via email or text.
4. SEND BEFORE THINKING
