BASIC Google Slides Skills Activity

  •  If you are new to Google Slides:
    • You can open a completed basic Google Slides skills deck titled Bella
    • Play a step-by-step tutorial video 11.Q1 Google Basic Slide Skills Tutorial (11:28 min.). Note that there are bookmarks to identify the steps along the timeline.

Step 3. Check off each step as you complete it and turn it in to your teacher when done.

ADVANCED Google Slides Skills Activity

Check with your teacher about where to save your work and when it is due.

Skills covered: WordArt, spelling check, arranging objects, voice-to-text, inserting and recording audio, a video, hyperlinking between slides, sharing, diagraming, and creating images. 

Suggested Resource: If you are unfamiliar with some of these skills, using the Optional Insert Menu Skill Exercise may be helpful.

  • Activity: Copy or download the 11.Q1 Advanced Google Slides Skills Activity: Slide Deck to demonstrate each skill. The directions for each skill are located in the speaker notes or on the slide.
  • Video tutorials: A few of the speaker notes include links to videos. Use them as needed to complete this activity. 
  • On Completion: When you are done, provide a shared link to your Advanced Google Slides Skills Activity with commenting rights for your teacher.

Check with your teacher about exploring these Insert Menu skills.
