KEY VOCABULARY

Allowance: An allowance is a set amount of money that parents give their children regularly for completing chores.

Budget: A budget is a plan for spending, saving, or managing money.

Career: A career is the work a person chooses to do throughout their life that usually requires a special set of skills, training, education, or experience.

Income: Income is the money a person receives from an allowance, working at a job, or interest on a bank account. 

Interest: Interest is money the bank pays a person when they save money in a special bank account.

Need: A need is something that a person must have to maintain good health and be safe.

Salary: A salary is a fixed amount of money paid for working a period of time (usually yearly or monthly).

Savings: Savings are money not spent immediately but set aside for future use.

Want: A want is something a person does not need to maintain their health or be safe but would like to have.
