Q4 Visualizing the Clues: Introduction

13. Data Detectives

Chart the Clues

As Data Detectives, you’ve already sorted and filtered the chaos to uncover the cleanest clues in your spreadsheet.

Now the mystery gets visual. Your suspect left information hidden in the numbers, and the charts are the key to revealing it. In this Quest, you will learn how to choose the right type of chart, turn your data into pie and column charts, and read the visuals like a detective cracking a case. Each chart you create brings you closer to discovering who took the missing collectibles.

Learning Objectives

I can:

  • Choose the best type of chart to represent a data set.
  • Create a pie chart and a column chart from a spreadsheet.
  • Interpret charts.

A hint is found!

Detectives, don’t rush ahead, your next clue is in that note and those questions are the key to unlocking what comes next.  Read them and keep them in mind while you learn about and create your charts.

A hint with questions to ponder: Zanda is part of which quishmallow squad? What percentatge of squishmallows are in this squad?
