Q5 Applying for a Job: Resume
What is a Resume?
A resume is a special type of document that helps you showcase your skills, experiences, and accomplishments to potential employers, schools, or organizations. It’s like a personal advertisement that tells others what you can do and what you’ve already achieved.
Whether you’re applying for a part-time job, volunteering, or even applying to a high school program, a resume is an important tool that helps you stand out from others. It highlights what makes you unique, whether it's your skills, hobbies, or any experiences you’ve had.
Why are Resumes Important?
Having a good resume is crucial because it gives employers or schools a quick way to see what you bring to the table—without having to meet you first. Think of it like your personal story told through facts and accomplishments!
