Q1 Clue Collections: Reviewing Responses

13. Data Detectives

Evidence review #1

Detectives, the initial clues are in! You’ve gathered the info with your survey, and now it’s time to dig into the data. Let’s sift through the "What is missing data," spot the patterns, and get closer to solving the case of the missing collectibles by building your evidence!

Step 1: Accessing and reviewing the data collected within the form.

  • Check out #1-4 in the instructions in 13.Q1 Reviewing Survey Data on how to access the data you collected in your interview survey.
    • Review Google or Microsoft, based on your school's use.
  • Review the data visuals that are provided on the responses page.
  • What do you like about the data visuals that are provided?

Step 2: Creating your spreadsheet of data.

  • Check out #5-6 or 7 in the instructions in 13.Q1 Reviewing Survey Data for creating a spreadsheet for the data that you collected in your interview survey.
    • Review Google or Microsoft instructions based on your use.

Step 3: Access and complete the first part of your Data Detective Journal

  • Your Data Detective Journal should be saved in your 21T4S Thing 13 Data Detective folder.  If not, return to the Clue Collection: Organization page of this Quest to complete that step.
  • Now that you know where your data is located (in the spreadsheet) and some of the ways to visualize your data within the form you created, answer the two questions below.  Record your answers in your Data Detective Journal on page 3.
    • Provide a summary of which collectables are missing.
    • How did a form help you organize this data?
