Key Vocabulary

Call to Action: A call to action is what the author of a PSA wants the audience to do or take.

Message: A message is the main point or idea a PSA attempts to communicate.

Public Service Announcement (PSA): A PSA is a message created to inform or persuade an audience about a specific issue.

Rubric: A rubric is a scoring guide that states a teacher's expectations for an assignment.

Target audience: A target audience refers to a group of people you aim to reach with your PSA message or content, such as friends, family, classmates, etc.
