Q2 Ad Creator: Marketplace Navigation

19. Smart Cart

Navigating the Digital Marketplace

You’ve learned the Advertiser's Playbook; hunted down weasel words and analyzed how companies try to steer your feelings. Now, it's time to put those skills to the test in the real world.

Your Media Club channel is gaining traction; the views are up, and suddenly, the emails are rolling in. Brands want to work with you. But remember: once you sell your audience's trust, you can't buy it back.

In this final Ad Creator activity, you will step into two different simulators to prove you can navigate the digital marketplace safely and ethically.

Part 1. The Smart Shopper Challenge

Before you can sell an ad, you need to prove you can't be tricked by one.

  • Once in the simulator, select the Start exploring button.
  • Navigate the scenarios by identifying the hidden persuasion techniques and misleading claims.
  • Now, launch the Q2 Smart Shoppers Simulator.

Part 2: The Sponsorship Desk.

You are now the Media Club President. Brands are offering you free gear and cash, but not all of these deals are honest.

  • Once in the simulator:
    • Read through each brand offer (cue).
    • You must decide which sponsorships to accept, which to reject, and how to properly disclose the deals to your audience so you don't break the law (or your viewers' trust).

  • Now, launch the Q2 Sponsorship Desk Simulator.

Portfolio Submission

Once you successfully complete both simulators, you will receive two digital completion badges (or certificates).

  • Capture the Evidence: Take a screenshot of your final completion screens for BOTH the Smart Shoppers and Sponsorship Desk activities.
  • Update Your Portfolio: Upload the screenshots to your Student Portfolio under the Quest 2 section. This is your official proof that you are cleared to handle advertising for the club!
